Curried Sausages.
Fast & simple, this is a typical Kiwi curry dish.
This dish has a great taste and is not spicy.
Great to eat on its own or serve it with rice, bread or mashed potato.

You can make this with gluten free flour & sausages.

INGREDIENTS:

6 Sausages,
2 onions,
1-2 cups of frozen Peas & Corn,
1 teaspoon of Curry powder,
1/2 a cup of Sultanas,
Flour for thickening,

A little butter to cook your onions in.

Rice of Bread Rolls to serve with your curry.

METHOD:
Prepare your sausages:
Cook by boiling your sausages.
Use hot water from the jug (kettle) to save power and speed up the process.

Once your sausages are cooked remove the sausage skin and cut into bite sized pieces.

While the sausages are boiling prepare and cook your onions.

Prepare and cook your onions.
Peel and cut your onions in half.
Finely slice your onion into half rings.

In a hot pan add a knob of butter and saute your onion,
When your onions are looking soft,

To your frying pan add:
1-2 cups of frozen peas and corn,
1/2 a cup of sultans,
Your sausages and,
About 1 teaspoon of curry powder,
Add a little hot water and give the mix a stir,

Cover your dish and simmer, stirring occasionally.
Simmer until your curry is hot,

Now thicken the juice with a little flour and water.
In a small bowl make a paste by adding 1-2 tablespoons of wholemeal flour and mixing with a little water.
Stir your flour paste into your curry and heat, stirring occasionally until your curry is thickened.

Simmer with the lid off until the curry is thick & hot.
Eat it own its own or serve it with rice, bread or mashed potato.

For a treat today we are having this with bread rolls.
