Junket – a subtle flavored desert.
This desert was a childhood favorite, a milk based, subtle flavored desert.
Deserts do not come any easier to make than Junket.

INGREDIENTS:
600 mls full cream milk,
RENCO – 1 teaspoon.

You can purchase Renco from New World (and possibly other) supermarkets.
RENCO is a product used by cheese makers.
We will show you how to make some cheese in a recipe soon.

METHOD:

Pour 600mls full cream milk into a pot and heat until warm.
Granny tested it with her finger, it only needs to be warm ( 55o Celsius)

Add a teaspoon of Renco (and a little extra for good measure),
Remove from the heat and stir well,

Pour into bowls and let sit for 10 minutes.
Wait 10 minutes & your Junket will be soft set.

Be very gentle with the Junket because it can separate at this stage.
You can eat it warm or refrigerate for a couple of hours,
