Easy to make Brownie.
The best brownie I every had was from the canteen while working on the set of “I’m a celebrity get me out of here.”
The brownie was a cake like texture, not crunchy but not soft, with rich chocolate discoveries.
This Brownie is its rival and is so easy to make.
Of course it’s bad for you…too much anyway.

INGREDIENTS:

250 grams of butter,
250 grams of dark chocolate,
1 cup of brown sugar,
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract,
3/4 of a cup of plain flour,
3 eggs,
2 Tablespoons of cocoa,

Icing sugar to lightly dust the top of the Brownie when its cooked (optional).

METHOD:

Preheat your oven to 190° degrees Celsius.

Cut 250 grams of butter. Dice the butter into smaller pieces and put into a medium sized saucepan.
Add 250 grams of dark chocolate in with the butter . We use dark chocolate melts.
Stir on a low heat until the ingredients start to melt.

Sieve into your chocolate mixture 1 cup of brown sugar (firmly packed) .
Continue to stir on a low heat until the ingredients are melted and smooth.

Let the mixture cool a little.

Break 3 eggs into a cup and whisk them lightly.
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to your eggs.

Check your chocolate mix has cooled before you add your eggs to the mix, this will stop the egg cooking.
Dip a knife into your chocolate mix and check the chocolate is cool against your finger.

Once the chocolate has cooled,
Mix the eggs & vanilla into your chocolate mixture,

Sieve directly into your chocolate mix:
3/4 of a cup of plain flour & 2 Tablespoons of cocoa,
Stir well until everything is combined.

Add some extra whole Chocolate pieces & lightly stir them into the mixture.

Pour the mixture into a baking tin that has been lined with baking paper.

Bake the mixture for about 30-35 minutes in your preheated oven @ 190° degrees Celsius.

Test the brownie is cooked by pushing a knife or cake needle into the Brownie and removing,
When the knife comes away clean the Brownie is ready to cool.

Remove the Brownie from the oven and allow your cake to fully cool down on a tray.

Once the Brownie is cool cut into nice sized pieces.
Lightly dust with icing sugar from a sieve for a finished look.
